Financial Sanctions: Al-Qaida and the Taliban 12 December 2008

This news release is issued in respect of the financial measures taken against Al-Qaida and the Taliban.

The Treasury advises that on 10 December 2008 the United Nations Sanctions Committee approved the addition of four individuals to the UN Consolidated List maintained under Resolution 1390 (2002) and approved amendments to three existing entries. The individuals whose identifying information has been amended continue to fall within Isle of Man financial sanctions regime under the Al-Qaida and Taliban (United Nations Measures) (Isle of Man) Order 2002.
