NSC Walk and Talk – Short Term Move to Nobles Park 21 September 2009

The Department of Tourism and Leisure’s National Sports Centre Walk and Talk sessions will move to Nobles Park from Monday 28th September for a short period while essential work takes place on the NSC athletics track and raceway.

The relaying of the athletics track is well under way and from early October work will commence on the relaying of the perimeter raceway.

The move will affect the Monday evening and Tuesday and Friday day time sessions. Similar to the NSC, a half mile route around the park will be used and the walkers will be able to enjoy their tea and coffee in the Park Café. This is only a short term arrangement and walkers can look forward to returning to the National Sports Centre when the work has been completed.

Session times will not change during the move, Monday evenings 5.30pm – 7.00pm, Tuesday and Friday sessions, 9.30am – 11.00am. The registration point will be Nobles Park Café, next to the Crown Green Bowls area.

For further information regarding the move to Nobles Park, or about Walk and Talk in general, please contact Gianni Epifani, Sport Development Officer, on 688556.
