Announcement over school opening 22 and 23 April 2010 21 April 2010

ALL schools will be open on Thursday and Friday. The only alterations will be that the two Douglas secondary schools will have to restrict attendance as follows:

Thursday 22 April

Ballakermeen’s Year 7 and St Ninian’s Year 9 are asked to stay at home.

Friday 23 April

Ballakermeen’s Year 9 and St Ninian’s Year 8 are asked to stay at home.

Both schools still have a significant number of teachers stranded off-Island because of the disruption caused by volcanic ash.

All other schools are coping for the time being and are open as usual.
