FSC appoints new Director of Enforcement 10 January 2013

The Financial Supervision Commission has appointed Mr David Griffin as its new Director of Enforcement. David is a Manx Advocate and has worked in the Attorney General’s Chambers since 2005 having previously worked in other legal practices on the Island.

Commenting on his appointment Chief Executive of the Commission, John Aspden said “I am delighted that David will be joining our team. He brings a wealth of experience to the role particularly in the areas of financial crime, legal assistance and AML/CFT issues. These are all areas critical to the high reputation and standing of the Island, and David will be able to ensure a strong continuity in the Commission’s approach”.

David will take up his new role in mid-April replacing Paul Heckles who is assuming the role of Commissioner at the regulator in the Cook Islands.
