Service of Celebration for Steve Hislop 8 August 2003

Eleven times TT winner Steve Hislop is to be remembered on his adopted home, the Isle of Man, on the Tuesday of Manx Grand Prix Race week, 26th August 2003.

In the afternoon at Kirk Braddan Church, on the TT Course, there will be a Service of Celebration of his life. In the evening, the motorcycle world are invited to a tribute fund raiser at Summerland with bands, an auction, videos on big screens, and much more introduced by the Isle of Man 'Minister of Fun', David Cretney.

He said today, "Steve was a hero for many people and at next year's TT I will be announcing permanent tributes to Steve and Dave Jefferies. In the meantime, I am organising with Steve's close friends on the Island, with his family's approval, for these two events. Further information will be available very soon."
