Mighty Oak Appeal helped by footballers 8 August 2003

The all-new Isle of Man Water Authority charity football team recently took to the pitch in Ramsey to take part in a fund-raising football tournament, which successfully generated over 900 for the Isle of Man Hospice Mighty Oak Appeal.

The Tournament was organised by the Water Authority's Chris Cull, whose day-to-day role is delivering stores to operational staff. The fun-packed event continued throughout the afternoon, where the Authority team battled against teams from OCRA Worldwide and the eventual winners, Charterhouse International.

Chris worked tirelessly to secure the participation of the teams and promote the event. All his efforts were rewarded with a splendid turnout and a closely fought competition, which was wholeheartedly enjoyed by both players and spectators.

Chris Cull said,

I am delighted that our tournament raised so much money for such a worthy cause and remain extremely grateful to all those who supported the event both on and off the field".
