Parking Consultation 11 November 2003 The Minister for Transport wishes to thank all those people who responded to the
recent request for views and suggestions on the Department's policies and
procedures on parking throughout the Island.
A more detailed consultation exercise will take place shortly, which will take
into account the views received, as well as the information gathered from
parking surveys carried out during the summer.
It is intended that, following this exercise, the Department will come forward
with a comprehensive policy covering the following issues:
- Enforcement
- Extensions of Disc Zone Areas and new zones
- Parking Permits
- Eligible Vehicles
- Length of Vehicle Stay
- Charges
- Appeal processes
On completion of this work, the Department of Transport will make its findings
