New Tourism Marketing Team 10 February 2004

Tourism Minister David Cretney has announced the team of industry partners who will serve on the Marketing Partnership for 2004.

New members who have indicated their willingness to serve on the team are Denham Eke (Managing Director of Sleepwell Hotels), Findlay Macleod (Chief Executive of Isle of Man Creameries) and Judith Cain (Proprietor, Anchorage Guest House, Port Erin), whilst existing Members of the Partnership include Chris Robertshaw (Sefton Hotel), Nora Ryder (Isle of Man Steam Packet Company), Judy Arnold (Chamber of Commerce), Sue Papworth (Premier Holidays) and Mike Priest (Jack Frost Frozen Foods).

They join Department of Tourism officers and advertising agency representatives to develop the Islandís tourism marketing strategy under the chairmanship of Dominic Delaney MLC.

Mr Cretney commented:

"The marketing partnership has had a great effect on the Department over the last few years and I wish to thank all members who have invested time and effort in supporting the Departmentís marketing stategy, and look forward to working with them again this year."

Mr Delaney added:

"Everybody on the partnership is looking forward to continuing our hard work for the benefit of all in the tourism industry on the Island and we are grateful to our partners who give their time freely in supporting our strategy and assisting us in achieving our aims for the benefit of the Island."
