The organisers of the Isle of Man TT Races, the Manx Motor Cycle Club Limited, regret to announce that a competitor has died from injuries sustained in Saturday’s Sidecar A Race.

He was Les Harah, from Brough in East Yorkshire, who was the driver of a sidecar which crashed on the exit from Parliament Square in Ramsey on the second lap of the race. He was treated at the scene and transferred to Noble's Hospital by helicopter but died from multiple injuries.

Mr Harah, a 53 year old electrician, leaves a partner and two grown up children. He was an experienced TT competitor who had completed the sidecar event on previous occasions. Investigations are continuing into the circumstances and the Coroner of Inquests has been informed.

The race organisers have expressed sympathy to Mr.Harah’s family and friends.
