"This was an all-time record October, albeit only marginally exceeding last October by 266 new passengers (0.4%).

The main change this month included EuroManx reducing to 5 routes; Aer Arann coming onto the Liverpool route, and British North West Airlines taking over all A2B/Flykeen services. As a result, the proportions of total passengers carried by the airlines changed again to become BA CitiExpress once more in the lead with 34.1%; EuroManx with 33.7%; Aer Arann moving into third place (from 5th) with 14%; Eastern 6%; Flybe 5%; British North West 3%; Logainair 2.5%; and charter flights 1.7%.

British Airways also showed their first increase in passenger numbers since taking over from Manx Airlines. This is partly due to the previous higher monthly figures now dropping out of the comparison but also represents a real 8% increase compared to last October."
