Recall of dangerous Reebok charm bracelet 28 March 2006

The Isle of Man Office of Fair Trading advises that Reebok is voluntarily recalling metal charm bracelets with a heart-shaped charm showing the name "Reebok" on it that accompanied, as a gift with purchase, pairs of its Children's Reebok Classic Footwear.

This range was available in the Isle of Man from December 2004 and the Office is aware that a number of these pairs of shoes with the accompanying bracelet were sold in shops on the Island.

The recall results from the death from lead poisoning of a child in the USA who reportedly swallowed a piece from one of these bracelets.

If you have one of these charm bracelets you should take it away from children immediately and dispose of the entire bracelet.

Alternatively, if you would like to return it to Reebok at: Reebok Consumer Advice, Freepost LA1116, Moor Lane Mill, Moor Lane, Lancaster, LA1 1ZY, they will dispose of it.

This recall only affects the bracelets with a heart-shaped charm with the name "Reebok"on it.
