Important Safety Notice 19 May 2006

The Office of Fair Trading is advising that Pains Wessex is recalling all of its White Collision Warning (MK7) Hand Flares - Item No. 52651. This follows an incident in which a member of the public was injured.

These hand held flares are carried on leisure and commercial boats to be used as a white warning signal for illumination.

The flares are sold individually or incorporated in the Collision Warn-Off Kit and ORC RORC Distress Kit.

If you have this type of flare DO NOT USE IT.

In-date flares should be returned immediately to the place of purchase. If this is not possible, please take to your nearest chandler.

In the event you have an out-of-date Pains Wessex Collision Warning (MK7) Hand Flare Item No. 52651, please call Pains immediately on +44 (0)2392 623951.

No other Pains Wessex products are affected by this recall.
