Financial Sanctions: Al-Qaida and the Taliban 14 November 2008

This news release is issued in respect of the financial measures taken against Al-Qaida and the Taliban.

The Treasury advises that on 12 November 2008 the United Nations Sanctions Committee approved the addition of one individual to the UN Consolidated List maintained under Resolution 1390 (2002). The individual therefore falls within the Isle of Man financial sanctions regime under the Al-Qaida and Taliban (United Nations Measures) (Isle of Man) Order 2002.
