Christmas Concert and Late Night Festive Shopping at the Manx Museum 7 November 2008

On Thursday 4th December at 7.30pm Manx National Heritage will host a Christmas Concert in the Manx Museum Lecture Theatre, Douglas.Christmas shopping in the Manx Museum Heritage Shop

Performing on the night will be the well-known and hugely talented Regal Singers, led by Musical Director Allan Wilcocks MBE and accompanied by Wendy McDowell LTCL. Founded in February 1951, the choir still has a few of its original members! The Regal Singers will be performing some great Christmas songs and carols, and the audience will have the chance to join in a sing-along.

Also performing will be the young classical & acoustic guitarist, Liam Carter-Hawkins. Those who saw him perform at the Gaiety Theatre as part of the Guitar Festival earlier this year will be able to attest to his talent.

Unique Manx-inspired Christmas Gifts: Archibald Knox-inspireOn the night of the Christmas Concert the Manx Museum Heritage Shop, which boasts a unique range of Manx Christmas gifts, will stay open until 7.30pm. Shoppers will also be able to enjoy a complimentary glass of mulled wine and a mince pie to help ease them into the festive spirit ahead of the concert. Unique Manx-inspired Jewellery

Concert tickets cost £2.00 and are currently available to purchase from the Manx Museum Heritage Shop. Numbers are limited and all proceeds are in aid of the Nobles Hospital Renal Unit.
