Patient Greetings at Noble’s Hospital 3 October 2008

The Department of Health and Social Security is delighted to announce the launch of the Noble’s Hospital email greeting service that will allow friends, relatives and loved ones to contact a patient staying at Noble’s Hospital by email.

Eddie Teare MHK, Minister for Health and Social Security said,

“Anyone who has spent any length of time in hospital will know that it can be lonely waiting for visiting hours so that you can see your friends, family and loved ones. It can be lonelier still if your well-wishers can’t get to visit you. That is why I am delighted that this new initiative will provide some remedy to this loneliness and again show our commitment to high quality customer services.”

Barbara Scott, Noble’s Hospital Manager said,

“The email patient greeting service will be a way of bringing comfort to patients from people far and near in a timely manner. E-mailing is convenient and has become the preferred method of communication for many people.”

Visitors will need to ensure that the Patient’s name and Ward are written as the subject so that upon receipt of an email we can deliver it quickly to the patient.
