Pieces of the TT Course sell like hot tar 6 June 2011

TT Course

TT fans have the very rare opportunity of being able to buy a piece of the TT course thanks to Isle of Man Stamps & Coins.

Unique pieces of tarmac taken from Ballaugh Bridge are on sale at the TT Post Shop at the Grandstand and onlne and are proving quite a hit.

Dot Tilbury, General Manager Isle of Man Stamps & Coins said:

“This quirky TT gift is selling like hot tar and race fans from all over the world are excited about being able to take a small piece of the most famous motorsport course in the world home with them, as a lasting souvenir of their visit.”

She added:

“Think back to all the great moments in TT history which have taken place on this iconic bridge with riders and machines flying through the air, gasps of excitement from the assembled TT fans as the front wheel touches the tarmac ready to line up to make a right and quick left out through the village onwards to Ballacrye.”

The "Get the Hump" gift is priced just £3.00 and available in a range of presentation styles featuring seven great TT legends – Joey Dunlop, Guy Martin, Conor Cummins, Ian Hutchinson, John McGuinness, Cameron Donald and Klaus Klaffenbock. The item is endorsed and verified as genuine TT tarmac on the reverse of the pack by the Isle of Man Director of Highways Mr Richard Pearson BEng (Hons) Civ Eng CEng MICE MCIHT DMS.

The TT Post Shop at the Grandstand is open from 9am everyday until Friday 10th June.
