Zumba Classes at the NSC 22 August 2011

The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure is delighted to announce that two exciting new exercise classes are to be offered at the National Sports Centre.

Commencing on the 25th August at 6.00pm-7.00pm, Zumba Fitness will be launched at the NSC. Zumba provides an effective workout to high-energy, ‘Latin Dance’ inspired music. Before participants know it, they’re getting fitter and their energy levels start to soar! It’s easy to do, effective and totally exhilarating. This “Try it” session costs just £6.00. Regular Zumba Fitness classes will begin on Monday 19th September, (6.00pm-7.00pm) priced at £7.00, or £6.00 per class when purchasing a block of 6 sessions in advance. This activity takes place in the NSC sports Hall.

As well as Zumba Fitness, for the very first the time on the Island, commencing on Thursday 1st September (6.00pm-6.45pm), Island residents can try Aqua Zumba, at a special introductory price of £6.00. Aqua Zumba gives a new meaning to the idea of an invigorating workout. Splashing, stretching, twisting, even shouting and laughing, are often heard during an Aqua Zumba class. Integrating the special Zumba ‘Latin Dance’ formula with traditional Aqua Aerobics, this class is not to be missed.

Carl Glover the NSC Manager stated that

“Aqua Zumba is challenging, exiting, invigorating but above all, it’s great fun. It is suitable for participants of all fitness levels, as they can put as much, or as little energy into the workout as they like”.

Regular Aqua Zumba classes begin on Thursday 22 September (6.00pm – 6.45pm) priced at £7.00 per class, or £6.00 per class when purchasing a block of 6 sessions.
