Fall in Unemployment 13 October 2003

At the end of September there were 301 persons registered of whom 207 were male and 94 were female. The unemployment rate was 0.7% at the end of September.

Thirty one persons on the register required work permits and 20 were signing on the register for National Insurance credits only.

During the month of September 136 claimants signed on the register and 204 signed off giving a fall of 68 persons.

Three hundred and eighteen vacancies were notified to the Job Centre during the month of September. There were 566 vacancies at the end of September.
