Port Erin Dental Practice to Close 13 April 2004

The Department of Health and Social Security has confirmed that notification has been received from the Port Erin Dental Practice, Orchard Walk, Port Erin, of their decision to close the Practice with effect from 1 July 2004.

The Department, whilst regretting the decision taken by the Practice, has confirmed its commitment to NHS dental services. In this respect, work is continuing on a number of options to expand existing NHS service provision.

The Department would advise any patient who has received a letter from the Practice that they do not need to make contact with the Department at this stage. Further information will be provided to those patients in the very near future.

The public is reminded that anyone who is not registered for dental treatment under the NHS but requires emergency treatment is advised to contact one of the Department’s dental clinics, where information regarding treatment can be obtained: Douglas 667724 or 642785
