New Pay and Display 27 September 2004

The Department gives notice that it proposes to make an Order the effect of which will be to create an off-street Pay and Display car park on the area of land encompassed by Banks Circus and Lake Road, Douglas, which form the access road to the Tesco store.

Motor Cars, Motor Cycles, Goods Vehicles not exceeding 3500 kgs laden weight, may wait at any time on any day up to a maximum of 7 days for a fee of:-

  • Up to 4 hours (8.30 a.m. - 6.00 p.m.) £1.50
  • 24 hours (All day) £3.00
  • Overnight parking (6.00 p.m. - 8.30 a.m.) £1.00

An excess charge of £40 will apply to vehicles which overstay the permitted time.

Contract tickets at an annual cost of £600 for a private parking place will be available.

A draft copy of the Order with plan is available for inspection at the Department's main reception desk on the ground floor at the Sea Terminal, Douglas, or Douglas Corporation, Town Hall, Ridgeway Street, Douglas, by any person, free of charge, during normal office hours on or before Monday 11th October 2004.

Any person wishing to make representations on or object to these proposals should do so by notice in writing to the Director of Highways, Department of Transport, Sea Terminal, Douglas, IM1 1RF, on or before Monday 11th October 2004.
