With an island measuring about 33 miles long and 13 miles wide, you never have far to go for a good spot of fishing. Take in the sucluded tranquility of sheltered reservoirs and streams or brave the open at sea by boat or along the many coastal locations. There are over 95 miles of coastline on the Isle of Man with a range of terrain. Try soft sandy beaches or rocky headlands. As well as different fishing locations, there also is a variety of waters. Try the rough high waters in the north of the island or the quiet sheltered bays in the south. There are many public reservoirs of fresh still water. Some of very sheltered and others exposed. Some challenge anglers, while others give fish up easily. Many of the rivers which run through the island are open to anglers. Some run through picturque glens, where fishing can almost be an art of timing and location. |
