Onchan Torchlight Procession



The annual torchlight parade went from Coutts Bank's Parking Lot through town and on to Springfield Court where everyone assembled to sing Christmas Carols. The street lighting in Onchan was turned off and the roads were closed for the large procession of people. Song sheets were handed out and the crowd sung, Once in Royal David's City, Away in a Manger, Hark the Herald angels Sing, O Come all ye Faithful, Good King Wenceslas, and Jingle Bells to the music of Onchan Silver Band.

Description: Onchan Torchlight Procession & Christmas Market. The Torchlight Procession starts from the top car park at Onchan Park. Outdoor Carol Service at 6.40pm. The procession starts at 7pm and will be led by Onchan Silver Band. Torches and glowsticks available to buy at the assembly point. At the Community Centre from 7pm the Christmas Market and Santa. 7.20pm Torchlight Procession arrives. 8pm Firework display. 8.15pm Warm up with hot food and drinks. ,.
