Income Tax Assessment Notices – Printing Quality Problem Identified 8 January 2009 The Income Tax Division has confirmed today that a number of tax assessment notices issued since 7 January 2009 may be missing descriptive text. The missing text is limited to the descriptions of income and deductions and does not affect the numerical calculation or tax liability. The problem, which appears to be a software error, is being corrected urgently. Reprinted assessment notices will be issued once this has been done. Everyone affected, and their appointed agents, will be sent the reprinted assessments showing full details within the next few days. Should anyone wish to appeal against their assessment, the normal 30 day time limit will run from the date that the reprint is issued.
