Two Sisters

A photographic exhibition by the German-Canadian artist Julia Winckler, whose work explores the role of the artist as an archivist of history and memory, both of one's own family and the wider society.

This exhibition explores the very different lives of two sisters. One was the artist's grandma and the other her great aunt. Both experienced very different lives during World War II. One lived and worked in Berlin, while the other was interned on the Isle of Man. Follow their war years and learn more about their lives.
