STORYLINE SYNOPSIS |
George Shuttleworth, a chimney sweep, dreams of competing in the TT Races
on the Isle of Man. After many failed attempts to get on the Rainbow Team,
George decides to take his self built bike and make his own way to the races.
Funded by borrowed money from his grandfather, George heads to the Isle
of Man. While on the boat, he saves the life of Florrie, the Rainbow Team's
secretary. Florrie has read all of Georges letters and befriends him, helping
him to get sorted once on the Island. Things do not all go to plan though,
as George's brakes give out during the trial and he later has to push across
the finish line ...
