STORYLINE
SYNOPSIS |
It is in the 1930's and Cassandra Mortmain is a 17 year old girl
struggling with the realities of life. Sheltered in the rural
countryside she resides with her eccentric family in a crumbling castle.
Cassandra dreams of becoming a writer and spends her time inventing stories,
while at home watching her father struggle to complete a second novel after
the success of his first 12 years ago. Just when things could not get
more complex, Rose, Cassandra's sister, sets the Mortmain family into
a long and life changing sequence of events involving their American
landlord and his brother. By the end of the summer, Cassandra will have
experienced and felt more then she ever could have dreamed.
