I Capture the Castle

Locations

Castle Rushen, Castletown
This medieval castle in Castletown on the Isle of Man has been used in many films, including Cinderella and The Harpist. Currently this site is run as a tourist attraction.

Langness, Derbyhaven
This long and narrow peninsula is maintained as a bird sanctuary and is freely open to the public.

I met Henry Thomas and Marc Blucas a few times in Costa Coffee and usually sat to chat and have coffee with them. Henry was complaining about being up all night for a few nights in a row as they shot scenes at Langness. These were night scenes and they involved a water tank (to make it look as though the actors were in the sea). This filming took place on and around 18 October 2001. Thanks Amy for your submission.

Steam Railway
One of the most widely used location on the Isle of Man. The Manx Steam Railway running between Douglas and Port Erin has featured in island films like Cinderella and Thomas and the Magic Railroad.

Port St Mary

St Johns

Maughold

Manorbier Castle, Pembrokeshire
Thanks Ian for your submission.
